One of the down sides of winter is that there is generally little worthy of a photo opportunity. With short sunny days and a lot more of the grey overcast light its hard to keep the interest going.
Thats where those cold frosty nights come into their own. I you aren’t afraid to venture out on a clear frosty night theres a whole sky full of photos just waiting to be taken.
We have been using both the XA2 and the XT10 for astrophography, but have found the XA2 is well suited to this style of photography. The XT10 is just as capable but has a lot more processor noise being seen on the LCD. To date we haven’t heard a good explanation for this effect, but it can be irritating. The XA2 on the other hand doesn’t suffer this problem and I’m going to assume that it has something to do with the X-Trans sensor used in the XT10.
